My boyfriend is adamant about taking me deer hunting this year. I have never been hunting, and, up until recently, I had never shot a gun. His father and brother both have a bet against me that I will not even pull the trigger. To get me prepared, my boyfriend took me along to shoot clay pigeons a few weeks ago.
As I have said, I had never shot a gun before. He handed me .20 gauge shot gun and set up four plastic bottles over 20 feet away. I basically looked at him with the thought, "What the hell am I supposed to do?" Our friends were laughing in the background saying that I would not even come close to touching those bottles. I took three shots. First shot, hit a bottle. Second shot, hit another bottle. Third shot, hit yet another bottle.
Needless to say, our friends were not laughing anymore. My boyfriend is now quite anxious to see what I would do this hunting season.
