Michael Kimball with his nice 8 point Maine White Tail. The deer was taken while hunting with the owner of HuntingBlades.com, Michael McSharry, on the second to last day of hunting season 2004. Mike was in the stand for less than a 1/2 hour when this "handsome" deer walked less than 50 yards from Mike's stand.
Earlier when walking into the area we jumped a deer but didn't get a look. We told another hunter that we met that we jumped one and told him the direction it was moving. A half hour later we heard 2 fast shots from the thick stuff he trotted out of. You got to love hunters that push them to you! 2 shots from a 30/06 put him down. Never really weighed him, but he seemed to be about 180 pounds dressed.
